懷念您，李健文先生

My beloved husband Albert Li was born in Hong Kong in 1954, as a native of Zhongshan, Guangdong. He loved reading kids’ magazine and spy/secret agents comics in his childhood days and watched black-and-white TV at neighbour’s home. All these inspired Albert in developing his passion for audiovisual technology.

In the late 60’s, his family moved from Central to a public housing estate in Tsz Wan Shan. He had to get up early in the morning to commute over an hour to the secondary school on the other side of the harbour in Shau Kei Wan. The only time to play football at the open ground near his home was during holidays.

When Albert started working, he and his family then moved to a bigger flat in Oi Man Estate. Being the eldest child in the family, his leading role steers his brothers in helping to refurbish their new home. Albert took up the responsibility of taking care his siblings after his father passed away. The birth of their niece Sam and nephew Andrew brought many wonderful memories & laughters to the 3 generations.

I met Albert in the same company we worked when I was eighteen/nineteen! After knowing each other for 11 years, we married in 1985 and decided not to have children. We are so blessed to have a wonderful 36 years together in mutual respect, joy and happiness and no rough patches.

Albert, a walking encyclopaedia to the family always unconditionally help them through various challenges in all times . He is the role model to his niece and nephew sharing and guiding them in holding positive values.  A love caring son for his mother from filling up her daily prescribed medicine pill boxes to the customised precise kitchen counter height for his mother to work comfortably.

Joined a German-based medical equipment supplier company right after his graduation, Albert was assigned to Beijing to develop a new market. With 20 years in the business world, he started to set up his own business, a distributor for the Germany medical devices. The company soon takes off on the right track supported by a great team. He kept forging ahead overcome hurdles along his career path, accepting what it may.

Albert has a few good buddies closely knitted with him in his different hobbies, enthusiasts in audiovisual technology and exploring new interests and among his two buddies, they are at the age of 80, mentors and peers with mutual respect. 

Albert stays active in his age of sixties, living a life to its fullest in work, sports, hobbies and traveling. He would say in his words “How blessed I am, being able to do the things I love!”

We missed him dearly, and cherished him for being a valuable part in our lives and will always in our mind.
