懷念您，許王粉清姊妹

母親大人許王粉清女士，生於1920年五月，原籍潮州汕頭市外沙鄉村，是一位慈祥、心地寬容的女士。家母於2020年十月七日安息主懷，感謝主，賜福她享有足足一個世紀的福份，四代同堂，兒孫滿堂。

家母童年時的外沙鄉是魚米之鄉，有海有山，肥沃的田園。小時候的她活潑好動，喜歡連群結隊到海邊摸螺，她說游泳是自學，抱著一大堆的浮萍，當作水泡就此學會游泳。家母只是念了幾年書，學識全靠自學成功。自小喜歡看書，晚年亦是一樣，喜歡看三國演義，共看了二十多次，她說每次看完都有不同的感受，她有很多講不完的故事。小時候，我們飯後，喜歡坐著聽她講從古到今的故事人物，她的字體端正，常常為左鄰右里寫家書寄往外國。

母親於1938年在新加坡結婚，當時外公是經商做食物制成品生意，名為「足合食品公司」，生意遠及東南亞至菲律賓等地。她居於星洲十多年，與父親一家生活融洽愉快，她煮得一手好佳餚。爺爺是經營百貨業，經常在家宴客，所有菜式都是家母一手包辦。

二次世界大戰後，大女兒出世，自爺爺去世後，決定舉家移居回鄉發展。

家母一生勤力能幹，喜歡熱鬧。每逢佳節，兒孫必定到她家慶祝團聚吃飯，樂也融融。她常常掛在口邊教導我們：「平安是福」、「知足常樂」，我們必銘記於心中。

晚年，家母享受兒孫福，每逢週末，必定大伙兒到酒樓飲茶，享受天倫之樂。

她於1991年受浸為基督徒，成為主的信徒。現她往天家與先人相聚，願她的子子孫孫們繼續秉承她的教導和熱愛家人的精神。

Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Madam Hui Wong Fan Ching was born in May 1920 in 外沙 village, 汕頭, 潮州. She was kind-hearted and generous. She passed away on 7th October 2020. The Lord has blessed her with a long journey on Earth, lasting one century, living with and loved by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and relatives.

Madam Hui spent her childhood in 外沙鄉, a quiet and fertile village near the sea and mountains. As a child she enjoyed spending her time with children of her age, and learned swimming by herself.

Although, she went to school for a few years, she studied and learned on her own interest, and enjoyed spending her time reading. She told her family members she must have read the “History of the Three Kingdoms” no less than twenty times, and each time presented her with different thoughts.

Her children and grandchildren liked to gather around her to listen to her stories, old and new, home and abroad. She liked writing Chinese characters and helped to write letters for her neighbours to send to their overseas relatives.

Her father ran a successful food business, with goods sold throughout South East Asia, including the Philippines. Madam Hui was married in Singapore in 1938. Her father-in-law entrusted her for preparing banquets for his business friends.

After the Second World War, she gave brith to her oldest daughter in Singapore, and then returned to her home town with her family a few years after.

Madam Hui was a hardworking, able and open-minded head of her family. Her children and grandchildren all came to see her at festivals to enjoy food and family gathering, and most important of all to listen and to receive her teaching and blessing of health, well being and contentment.

Madam Hui was baptised and became a Christian in 1991. She is now in heaven to rejoin with her ancestors. May her decedents to continue and uphold her spirit of harmony and kindness for all members of her family.
